2 Hospitalized after Rear-End Crash on Avra Valley Road in Tucson

Tucson, AZ (October 4, 2023) – Sunday morning, 57-year-old Nicholas Tronsden died in a rear-end crash on Avra Valley Road.

Pima County Sheriff’s said Tronsden was driving west on Avra Valley Road near North Portland Avenue at about 10:30 a.m. when he pulled off the road.

After pulling off, Tronsden was rear-ended by a second vehicle, also traveling west on Avra Valley Road.

Authorities pronounced Tronsden dead at the crash scene. 

The driver and passenger of the second vehicle sustained minor injuries and were transferred to a local hospital.

No additional information is immediately available.
