Kia Driver Nicholas Harris Involved in State Highway 18 Fatal Accident [Apple Valley, CA]

Apple Valley, CA (September 17, 2024) – 31-year-old Nicholas Harris was involved in a State Highway 18 deadly accident early Monday morning.

It was about 2:54 a.m. on September 16 when the vehicle vs pedestrian collision on Flathead Road.

Troopers said a silver Kia Optima driven by Nicholas Harris was traveling west on the highway’s number one lane.

At the same time, a male pedestrian between 18-20 years of age, was walking west on the same road.

The pedestrian was hit by the Kia from behind.

Immediately, the rescuers arrived and rushed the pedestrian to a local hospital with serious injuries. Sadly, the victim later succumbed to his injuries at the hospital. 

Meanwhile, Nicholas Harris was not hurt and remained at the crash scene. 

The authorities has closed the westbound lanes of the highway between the intersections of Flathead Road and Dale Evans Parkway while they were investigating.
