Nicholas Cooper of Santa Barbara Dies in Motorcycle Crash on Highway 150 [Ventura County, CA]

Female Driver Sustains Injuries In on HWY 150 Fatal Crash

Ventura County, CA (August 18, 2022) – On Tuesday, Nicholas Cooper, a 38-year-old Santa Barbara man, sustained fatal injuries in a motorcycle crash on Highway 150.

The two-vehicle collision happened at about 2:35 p.m. on the Casitas Pass between Lake Casitas and Carpinteria.

Responding officer say Cooper was eastbound on a 2012 Kawasaki Ninja while a 30-year-old Carpinteria woman was westbound in a 2022 Mazda CX-9 SUV.

Suddenly, Cooper crossed over solid double-yellow lines and drove through the oncoming traffic while approaching a turn west of Rameli Ranch.

Cooper’s motorcycle and the SUV collided.

Immediately, the paramedics responded to the scene and took Nicholas Cooper by ambulance to the chlorination plant on the freeway. From there, a Ventura County helicopter crew airlifted him to Ventura County Medical Center, where he later died.

On the other hand, the SUV driver incurred minor injuries with cuts to her feet.

In the meantime, the authorities did not make any arrests.  Though, they said that they are still investigating the HWY 150 fatal crash.
