48-year-old San Jose Man Killed in Crash near Galveston Avenue

 
SAN JOSE, CA (April 30, 2018) – A pedestrian collision on Tully Road claimed the life of a man, late Monday night. The victim was identified by the Santa Clara County medical examiner’s office as 48-year-old Nhan Ngo of San Jose.
 
According to the San Jose police, the collision took place around 10:25 PM on Tully Road, between Galveston Avenue and La Ragione Avenue. A witness stated that Ngo was crossing north on Tully when he was hit by a 2017 Nissan Rogue.
 
The collision resulted in multiple major head injuries, killing the man at the scene of the accident.
 
An unnamed woman, who was driving the Nissan, stayed and cooperated with the investigators. Drugs and alcohol are not believed to have contributed to the collision. Meanwhile, Santa Clara County Medical Examiner-Coroner’s Office is still trying to shed some light on the man’s identity.
 
Areas affected by the collision were shut down for more than an hour to conduct an investigation; however, there are still pieces missing to solve the case. Other witnesses who have relevant information regarding the case are encouraged to cooperate with the police by calling Detective Kelvin Pham of the San Jose Police Department’s Traffic Investigations Unit at (408) 277-4654.
