NEVADA CITY, CA – One Killed in Crash on 80 Freeway at Eagle Lakes Road

Fatal Early Morning Crash on 80 Freeway in Nevada City

 
NEVADA CITY, CA (April 27, 2019) – One person was killed following a traffic accident early Saturday morning in Nevada City.
 
Authorities first responded to the collision around 3:52 a.m., on westbound 80 Freeway. Dispatchers then arrived just east of the Eagle Lake Road off-ramp soon after.
 
Officers located one vehicle partly blocking the second lane upon arrival. One occupant was also found unconscious inside the damaged vehicle.
 
Furthermore, medical responders attempted to save the injured victim. However, authorities pronounced the victim dead on scene due to the impact of the collision.
 
No identifying information has been released at this time. The incident still currently remains under investigation to determine further information. More details will eventually be released once made available.
