NEEDLES, CA – Motorcyclist Killed after Crash with Car on Highway 95

Speeding Car Hits Motorcycle on Highway 95 in Needles Killing the Rider

 
NEEDLES, CA (April 26, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed following a collision with a car Friday around 6:58 a.m. on Highway 95.
 
According to an initial dispatch, a maroon Toyota Camry was traveling at a high rate of speed, when it crossed a double yellow line to pass a semi truck. There, it subsequently struck a motorcycle.
 
The impact consequently sent the motorcycle off the roadway, causing fatal injuries to the rider.
 
A coroner’s personnel was also immediately called and pronounced the rider dead at the scene. Information on the victim’s identity has been withheld pending next of kin notification.
 
Both the car and motorcycle were towed away for evidence.
 
No additional information was provided at this time. The crash currently remains under investigation.
