Arvin Man Natividad Alvarado Saenz Killed in Bakersfield Pedestrian Crash
Bakersfield, CA (June 11, 2021) – On Wednesday, Natividad Alvarado Saenz, a 71-year-old Arvin resident, died in a pedestrian accident on Columbus Street.
The fatal accident took place on May 29, minutes before 7 a.m. at the 3700 block area.
Officers said Saenz was crossing the street outside of a crosswalk when he was struck by a vehicle.
Unfortunately, he sustained major injuries in the crash.
Immediately, rescuers took him to a hospital in critical condition.
Meanwhile, the involved driver cooperated with the investigation.
Authorities said alcohol, drugs or speed did not appear to be factors in the fatal accident.
However, on Wednesday, Saenz was pronounced dead at Kern Medical.
