Passenger Injured in Fresno County Fatal Accident
Fresno County, CA (May 10, 2023) – On Sunday morning, 17-year-old Nathan Oliva of Visalia died while his 19-year-old passenger sustained injuries following a rollover collision on Highway 138.
According to CHP, a GMC truck driven by Oliva traveling on Highway 198 at Dickenson Avenue at over 60 mph. The vehicle swerved off the roadway and crashed into a ditch. The truck overturned onto Oliva who was not wearing a seatbelt, and was ejected from the vehicle. Unfortunately, the authorities declared him dead at the crash scene.
Officers said Oliva was a student at Mt. Whitney High School.
Moreover, the paramedics rushed the 19-year-old passenger to an area hospital with major injuries.
