15-Year-Old Nathan Cavolt Dies in Horrific ATV Crash on Hillside Terrace [Nevada County, CA]

CHP Investigates Fatal ATV Crash Near Dog Bar Road

Nevada County, CA (May 15, 2024) On Saturday evening, 15-year-old Nathan Cavolt died in a tragic ATV crash on Hillside Terrace.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal crash happened at about 7:30 p.m. off Hillside Terrace, east of Dog Bar Road.

Reports say that the ATV crash happened on a private property in the southern end of the county.

Authorities say that Cavolt was a passenger in an ATV when it crashed. Cavolt suffered major head trauma and medics rushed the teen to Sutter Roseville Medical Center, where he ultimately succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the hospital.

CHP is investigating the fatal crash.
