Speeding Leads to Deadly Head-On Crash in Napa
NAPA, CA (March 12, 2019) – One person was killed and three others were injured following a high-speed head-on crash Tuesday afternoon in Napa.
The crash happened around 3:30 p.m. near the intersection of Solano Avenue and Oak Knoll Avenue.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a white Toyota Camry and a gold Porsche collided head-on. One of the cars was reportedly traveling at a high rate of speed prior to the crash.
Fire crews along with paramedics immediately responded and found one patient with major injuries. Despite life-saving efforts, the victim did not survive and was pronounced dead at the scene.
Three other parties were injured, one suffered major injuries and was extricated from a vehicle. The other two sustained minor wounds. All three were taken by ambulance to a hospital for proper treatment.
The crash shut down Solano Avenue between Darms Lane and Hoffman Lane.
No identifying information is being released at this time. The incident remains under investigation.
