Nancy Haywood, Alonzo Prado, and Female Passenger Hurt in Visalia Three-Vehicle Crash
VISALIA, CA (June 17, 2019) – Two drivers identified as Nancy Haywood and Alonzo Prado were hurt in a three-car crash on Saturday, June 15.
At around 11:30 p.m., 18-year-old Visalia resident Mark Anthony Verdugo, drove a Lamborghini Huracan east on Walnut Avenue. Then he drove through the intersection at Court Street and crashed into two other vehicles.
Paramedics transported the driver and passenger of a Toyota Camry to the hospital. The female passenger is reported to be critical condition. The driver, 23-year-old Alonzo Prado of Visalia, sustained moderate injuries, police stated. The Camry moved northbound on Court when the incident occurred.
Nancy Haywood, 32, the driver of a Lincoln MKZ that traveled south on Court, sustained minor injuries.
Police discovered a loaded .45 caliber pistol in the Lamborghini.
Paramedics brought Verdugo to the hospital for a lumbar injury. Then officers arrested him on suspicion of DUI, vehicular manslaughter, a felony warrant, and unlawful possession of a firearm.
