22-Year-Old Toppenish Man Injured after Rear-End Collision on Westbound I-82
UNION GAP, WA (March 10, 2018) – A man was injured in a DUI accident that occurred on Saturday afternoon on the westbound Interstate 82.
Nakai Easter was traveling west in his 2002 Chevrolet Suburban on the 82 freeway near milepost 45, when he rear-ended a 2010 Chevy Malibu driven by 47-Year-old Irma Garcia of Sunnyside.
The 22-year-old Toppenish man was injured and transported by emergency personnel to the Virginia Mason Memorial Hospital for medical treatment. There is no current update on his condition at this time. Garcia was not injured in the accident.
Both cars were totaled and had to be towed from the scene. The cause of the crash was driving under the influence, as determined by troopers investigating the incident. Easter was charged with DUI.
