Naiomi Jones Killed in Hit-and-Run Accident on Harvard Boulevard in Los Angeles

Two Men Wanted by Police after Fleeing Deadly Collision on 120th Street

 
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 5, 2018) – A deadly hit-and-run accident on Harvard Boulevard claimed the life of a woman, late Saturday evening. The victim was later identified as Naiomi Jones, a 34-year-old resident of Beverly Hills.
 
According to authorities, the incident happened about 10:30 PM at the Harvard Boulevard and 120th Street intersection. Jones was driving a 1997 Honda northbound on Harvard, when she tried to make a left turn at a stop sign.
 
A white 2016 Mercedes was traveling east on 120th Street and crashed into the driver’s side of her vehicle.
 
After colliding with Jones’ vehicle, the Mercedes swerved and slammed into a pole, east of the intersection. A third vehicle, a newer model of a white four-door BMW, arrived at the scene shortly after. The driver and the passenger of the Mercedes, described to be two men, jumped into the BMW, fleeing the scene as they headed eastbound on 120th.
 
Both the Mercedes and BMW did not have license plates, according to witnesses. There is currently no description of the men involved at this time.
 
Jones was critically injured and was pronounced dead at the scene of the collision. A GoFundMe page was set up to help Jones’ family with funeral expenses and will be used to bring her body home to Arizona. Click on the link to donate.
 
The investigation on this deadly crash is still ongoing, as police search for the two men who fled the scene. Investigators do not believe that drugs or alcohol are factors in the collision.
