Weatherford, TX (February 10, 2024) On Thursday evening, 19-year-old Mya Jimenez and 20-year-old Ian Ellis were killed in a tragic accident on Interstate 20.

According to a release from the Texas Department of Public Safety (TxDPS), the horrific crash happened on the Interstate 20 service road near Tin Top Road.

Reports say that police were chasing Ellis and Jimenez, who were riding a motorcycle, Ellis was driving the motorcycle with Jimenez as a passenger.

Officials say that Ellis went through a stop sign and collided with another vehicle. The impact of the collision ejected both the driver and passengers off the motorbike.

Authorities pronounced both Ellis and Jimenez dead at the scene.

DPS is investigating the fatal crash and has not released additional information at this time.
