Motorcyclist Hospitalized after Hit-And-Run Crash north of State Route 78 in Escondido
Escondido, CA (July 31, 2020) – Friday morning, a 44-year-old Murrieta man injured after a hit-and-run crash north of State Route 78.
The incident happened shortly after 6:30 a.m., on July 31.
CHP reports say the victim was southbound through Escondido when a small brown SUV alongside him veered into his lane, striking his 2014 Yamaha north of state Route 78.
The impact of the collision sent the motorcyclist tumbling onto the roadway, but the SUV immediately left the area.
Medics then aided the victim and transported to Palomar Medical Center for treatment of major but non-life-threatening injuries.
Anyone with information about the hit-and-run driver or vehicle was asked to call the CHP at 858-560-0474.
