Suspect Arrested after Police Chase and Crash on Yolo Causeway in Sacramento
Sacramento, CA (February 18, 2022) – Friday afternoon, police arrested a suspect for firing a gun, carjacking, leading police on a chase, and crashing the stolen vehicle into several victims on Yolo Causeway.
The police chase in Sacramento started at around 4 p.m. on Silver Eagle Road in the Del Paso Heights Neighborhood where Sacramento police said gunshots rang out.
Police said the suspect stole a silver Hyundai and took off nearly 100 mph over the Yolo Causeway, eventually crashing into several cars including this red SUV.
Roberts Yan’s parents, the occupants of the red SUV, sustained minor injuries.
The suspect is currently in police custody at the Sacramento County Jail.
Moreover, the multiple victims involved have several minor injuries.
Further investigation is ongoing.
