Driver Arrested after Five-Vehicle Hit-And-Run Crash on Highway 32 in Chico
Chico, CA (December 25, 2020) – Friday afternoon, CHP reported multiple injuries in a five-vehicle hit-and-run crash on Highway 32.
The crash occurred at approximately 2:45 p.m on December 25.
The California Highway Patrol said a car traveling westbound of Highway 32 at W. East Avenue sideswiped another vehicle and then ended up entering into a left turn lane.
This caused a chain of crashing vehicles that ended up blocking traffic on Highway 32. However, the driver who started the chain reaction drove away from the scene.
Moreover, the collision injured three to four people sustaining minor to moderate. They were transported to a hospital.
While searching for the hit-and-run suspect, an off-duty fireman heard the car’s description and notified officers of the location.
