CHULA VISTA, CA (October 24, 2022) – Saturday, a two-vehicle crash on Otay Lakes Road and Hunte Parkway led to multiple injuries.
 
The crash happened on Otay Lakes Road and Hunte Parkway.
 
According to reports, the male driver in the car with three occupants drove west on Otay Lakes Road. Then, they made a left-hand turn onto southbound Hunte Parkway with the “Green” light.
 
Then, the truck’s male driver and his female passenger ran the “Red” light as they traveled east on Otay Lakes Road.
 
Officers confirmed that the roads were wet from the falling rain. Meanwhile, the impact sent the car backward.
 
Also, firefighters extricated the male front-seat passenger from the car. Meanwhile, two of the males in the car had major injuries, and 1 male had minor.
 
Moreover, the female passenger in the truck sustained moderate injuries.
 
Then, responders took all 4 patients to local hospitals.
 
Furthermore, the incident shut down the eastbound lanes of Otay Lakes Road during the investigation.
