Father and Son Injured in Collision near Belmont Avenue, Trayvon Bookman Involved
FRESNO, CA (August 21, 2018) – Multiple people were taken to the hospital Tuesday afternoon, following a two-vehicle accident on Highway 99.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the accident occurred at approximately 2:30 PM near Belmont Avenue. A father and son were inside their vehicle when they were struck by a black BMW, driven by 24-year-old Trayvon Bookman.
Bookman was reportedly avoiding the police after an earlier incident at a Motel 6 near Shaw Avenue when the accident occurred. The man and his son, together with the Bookman and his girlfriend, were hospitalized with unspecified injuries. There is no update on their current medical condition.
An investigation is ongoing at this time, and no further details have been provided to the public.
