3 Hospitalized after Car Crash in Coarsegold
COARSEGOLD, CA (February 12, 2019) – On Tuesday afternoon, multiple people were injured in a car accident on Highway 41 around 1:00 PM near Yosemite Springs Parkway.
As per reports, a Toyota Highlander driven by a 75-year-old man from Madera was pulling out of a driveway trying to turn north onto the highway, when a Mercury Sable driven by a 55-year-old woman from Oakhurst was traveling southbound on the highway when she struck the SUV.
Paramedics arrived and transported the Highland driver and his 63-year-old passenger to Saint Agnes Hospital in Fresno. The Mercury driver suffered moderate injuries and was transported to Kaiser in Fresno. The victims’ current medical condition are unclear at this time.
The highway was closed in both directions for over an hour for cleanup and preliminary investigation, but has since reopened. There has been no further information released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time, as the investigation continues.
