Rain Causes Collisions along Highway 119 and 46, Woollomes Avenue, and Kimberlina Road
DELANO, CA (November 20, 2019) – Multiple car accidents were reported on Highway 99 on rainy Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collisions happened near Highway 119, Highway 46, Woollomes Avenue, and Kimberlina Road as early as 8:40 AM.
Reports showed that a multi-vehicle crash was first reported at the intersection of Highway 119. After eight minutes, a four-vehicle crash was then reported at Kimberlina Road. At about 8:51 AM, a silver Honda Accord spun into the center divider north of Highway 46. A vehicle then veered off the rain-slicked road near Woollomes Avenue. It then fell into the ditch at 9:25 AM.
It was not yet clear if there were injuries and damage sustained in the commotions.
The collisions remain under investigation. However, anyone with information is asked to call police traffic investigators.
