Tragic Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 880 Kills Man [Fremont, CA]

6-Vehicle Collision Near Fremont Boulevard Led to Fatality

Fremont, CA (June 14, 2024) On Wednesday evening, a 56-year-old Newark man was killed in a tragic multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 880.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the fatal 6-vehicle collision happened around 10:19 p.m. on I-880 near the Fremont Boulevard south off-ramp.

Reports say that the multi-vehicle crash closed all northbound lanes of Interstate 880, the lanes were opened Thursday morning.

Authorities did not release further details at this time and are investigating the tragic collision.
