Brutal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 5 Led to Injuries [Federal Way. WA]

Wrong-Way Driver Arrested After Four-Vehicle Crash on I-5 Off-Ramp in Federal Way

Federal Way. WA (October 6, 2024) On Friday evening, several people were hurt after a brutal multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 5.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the four-vehicle crash happened around 10 p.m. onto an Interstate 5 off-ramp.

Reports say that authorities arrested a driver in Federal Way after they caused a four-vehicle crash by driving the wrong way onto an Interstate 5 off-ramp late Friday night.

WSP reported that the collision occurred near the South 272nd Street off-ramp. Several individuals sustained injuries, and a truck involved in the crash rolled over, ending up upside down on the roadside.

Officials confirmed the driver responsible for the accident was taken into custody for vehicular assault, suspected to be under the influence at the time of the crash. The off-ramp from northbound I-5 to 272nd Street was closed for an extended period but has since reopened.
