Northland, MO (December 18, 2024) On Monday afternoon, 3 people were hurt and hospitalized after a shocking multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 35.

According to Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the hit-and-run crash happened before 5 p.m. near MO-210.

Reports say that the hit-and-run driver caused a three-car collision on southbound I-35 near MO-210, leaving three people injured.

Authorities say that an unidentified vehicle traveling in the left lane merged into a 2022 Dodge Charger in the right lane. The impact forced the Dodge off the road into a guardrail before it re-entered the highway, ending up in front of a 2022 Honda Pilot in the left lane.

The Honda struck the Dodge, sending both vehicles off the left side of the road.

The Dodge Charger, driven by a 37-year-old man, sustained moderate damage and was towed from the scene. Fortunately, the driver reported no injuries.

The Honda Pilot carried three occupants: a woman driver, 37, an 18-year-old female passenger, and a baby boy under one year old. All three sustained minor injuries and were transported to North Kansas City Hospital. Officials confirmed they were using proper safety restraints.
