Brutal Multi-Vehicle Crash on Interstate 35 Injures 2 People [Kansas City, MO]

Kansas City, MO (November 26, 2024) Early Sunday morning, injuries were reported after a horrifying multi-vehicle crash on Interstate 35.

According to the Missouri State Highway Patrol (MSHP), the traffic accident happened at about 5:30 a.m. on southbound I-35.

Reports say that a chain-reaction crash on southbound Interstate 35 in Kansas City left two people injured. Authorities say that a 2020 Freightliner semi-truck veered off the right side of the road, driven by a 59-year-old man for unknown reasons.

Officials say that the incident triggered a series of collisions. A 2005 Ford 500, driven by another 59-year-old man, struck the rear of a 2019 Ford Expedition, causing the Expedition to overturn after being pushed off the road.

The 34-year-old woman driving the Expedition was wearing a seatbelt and sustained minor injuries. Emergency responders transported her to North Kansas City Hospital. Similarly, the Ford 500’s driver, who was also seat belted, sustained minor injuries and was taken to the same hospital.

The semi-truck driver was unharmed, while the truck sustained moderate damage. Both the Ford Expedition and Ford 500 were severely damaged in the crash.
