Violent Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 160 Led to Fatality [Rio Vista, CA]

Rio Vista, CA (September 3, 2024) On Sunday evening, a person died and several other were hurt in a multi-vehicle crash on Highway 160.

According to the Rio Vista Fire Department (RVFD), the fatal collision happened around 6 p.m. near Sherman Island Road.

Reports say that at least 3 vehicles were involved in the crash, officials say that one vehicle went down an embankment and into the water.

Authorities pronounced a person dead at the scene, while multiple people sustained injuries due to the crash.

CHP is investigating the fatal collision and has not provided further information at this time.
