1 Person Dead in Rio Vista Auto Accident on Highway 12 and Church Road

RIO VISTA, CA (October 28, 2024) – Friday afternoon, a fatal multi-vehicle crash on Highway 12 and Church Road killed one person.

Reports said that the incident happened at around 3:15 p.m. on Highway 12 and Church Road.

According to the Rio Vista Police Department, the crash involved multiple vehicles, including a truck that crashed into a fence.

Moreover, responders rushed a 79-year-old man to North Bay Medical Center where he was later pronounced dead. Then, paramedics transported two people to a hospital with unknown injuries.

Furthermore, the crash closed Highway 12 in both directions, between Druin Drive and Summerset Road, but has long since reopened.

At this time, the events leading to the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.

Due to limited information, the Rio Vista Police Department continued investigating the crash.
