Massive Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101 Injures Detective [Ventura County, CA]

Ventura County, CA (October 5, 2023) On Wednesday morning, a detective was hurt after a massive multi-vehicle crash on Highway 101 in Newbury Park.

According to the California Highway Patrol, the multi-vehicle crash happened around 7:57 a.m. on the northbound 101, north of Rancho Conejo Boulevard.

Reports say that a detective was driving an unmarked sheriff’s vehicle when it was rear-ended by another vehicle causing facial trauma to the detective.

Officials say that the collision caused severe traffic delays and temporarily closing all lanes on northbound Highway 101 .

Medics rushed the injured detective to Los Robles Regional Medical Center in Thousand Oaks.
