Injuries Reported in Palm Desert Multi-Vehicle Accident on 43000 Monterey Avenue
PALM DESERT, CA (August 28, 2024) – Tuesday afternoon, 2 people suffered injuries in a startling multi-vehicle crash on 43000 Monterey Avenue.
The incident happened at 2:00 p.m. in the 43000 block of Monterey Avenue, according to the Riverside County Fire Department.
Firefighters from the first responding engine successfully freed two individuals who were trapped. Both were transported to a hospital with “serious injuries,” according to the department. It remains unclear whether either of the injured individuals was driving at the time.
Monterey Avenue, between Parkview Drive and Granvia, was shut down in both directions for at least 90 minutes, the department reported.
At this time, the circumstances that led to the crash remained unclear. Once additional details become available, the public will be notified.
