1 Hospitalized after Santa Maria Multi-Vehicle Crash on Highway 101
SANTA MARIA, CA (October 2, 2019) – A person sustained injuries in a multi-vehicle crash on southbound Highway 101 on September 30.
The Santa Maria Fire Department came to the three-vehicle crash around 6:45 a.m. The incident involved two cars that went off the side of Highway 101, south of Stowell Road.
Meanwhile, a third car also went off the shoulder and drove into the shrubbery, Battalion Chief Tony Clayburg said. One of the vehicles struck a sign on the side of the freeway.
Moreover, responders took a patient to Marian Regional Medical Center with moderate injuries.
The CHP is currently investigating the crash. In addition, they also clarified that the incident did not cause any lane closures.
