Vehicles, Motorcycles Crash on Golden State Freeway Shuts Roadways
Los Angeles, CA (September 10, 2020) – Thursday morning, a multi-vehicle crash involving two motorcycles and four vehicles closed the transition road from the southbound Golden State (5) Freeway to the southbound Pasadena (110) Freeway.
The incident was reported before 4 a.m. on September 10. Police then issued a temporary closure of the transition road about 4:15 a.m.
No other information is provided. Further investigation is ongoing.
Crash rates in California continue to increase, rather than decrease, despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models. According to the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA), two out of three motorists will be involved in an injury accident during their life. Though we don’t want this to happen, it is still vital to know when to proceed if you or a family member is involved in a similar car accident.
It is also recommended to use a ride share app if you can’t safely operate a vehicle to avoid this kind of accident.
What to do after an Auto Accident
The most valuable step you can take in response to a vehicle crash is hiring a personal injury attorney. Mark Sweet, a personal injury attorney at Sweet Lawyers, says that serious car accident cases may call for a separate investigation spearheaded by an experienced lawyer fighting on behalf of the injured party.
