About Half-Dozen Car Collision in Mission Valley
MISSION VALLEY, CA (March 13, 2019) – A multi-vehicle crash on 8 Freeway occurred early Wednesday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol the accident happened around 5:30 AM, just west of Mission Center Road. Dispatchers arrived to the area on westbound 8 Freeway shortly after.
As per reports, about half a dozen vars were involved in the collision. A Sig Alert was eventually prompted during the morning commute as a result. However, the cause of the crash is currently unknown.
Due to the accident, traffic was backed up as far east as the 805 Freeway junction. The freeway was closed for cleanup and preliminary investigation for a brief time. However, the lanes have since reopened.
Furthermore, it is also currently unknown if anyone was injured in the incident. No further details have been released regarding the circumstances leading up to the incident at this time.
