FRESNO, CA (March 25, 2020) – Wednesday on March 11, multiple people were hospitalized after a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 99.
The incident occurred just north of Clinton Avenue. Dispatchers arrived on the northbound lanes of the highway shortly after receiving multiple 911 calls.
A total of seven vehicles were involved, including a big-rig. Moreover, the crash led the big-rig to jack-knife as its driver attempted to avoid striking other vehicles.
Several victims were transported to a nearby hospital for further treatment of injuries. However, there has been no update on their current condition.
Detectives currently suspect that weather and drivers traveling too fast for conditions were the causes of the crash.
