Traffic Jam Occurs after Multi-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 5
La Center, WA (October 2, 2020) – A multi-vehicle collision on Interstate 5 spilled fuel and caused miles-long traffic on Wednesday afternoon.
The Washington State Patrol reported that the collision happened on September 30 on Interstate 5 near milepost 15.
The crash involved six vehicles including three utility vehicles, two passenger vehicles, and a truck towing a trailer.
Due to the impact of the crash, an estimated 70 gallons of fuel spilled in the river near the incident scene. As a result, the right and center lanes of Interstate 5 temporarily closed for traffic.
The Washington State Department of Ecology responded to the scene and helped in containing the spilled fuel.
As of the moment, it is unclear what events led up to the multi-vehicle collision. Moreover, it is also unknown whether there are injured patients from the crash.
