Tacoma, WA (August 17, 2023) On Wednesday afternoon, a motorcyclist died after a multi-vehicle accident on State Route 16.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the 3-vehicle collision happened at about 5:4 p.m. on westbound SR-16 at southbound Interstate 5.

Reports say that teh collision involved a motorcycle, a Ford pickup, and a Mercedes sedan.

Officials say that the collision caused the motorcycle rider to be thrown out of his bike and went over the barrier onto South Tacoma Way below.
