1 Person Arrested in San Antonio 3-Vehicle Crash near SW Military Drive and New Laredo Highway
SAN ANTONIO, TX (June 20, 2023) – Sunday night, a crippling multi-vehicle accident near SW Military Drive and New Laredo Highway injured three people.
The incident happened at around 10:15 p.m. near the intersection of SW Military Drive and New Laredo Highway.
According to the San Antonio Police, a maroon GMC Sierra traveling at a high rate of speed ran a red light and collided with a red Dodge Caravan. Then, the Dodge Caravan veered and collided with a white Toyota Tundra that was stopped at the intersection.
Moreover, firefighters rushed to the scene and extricated the driver of the Dodge Caravan who was trapped inside the wreckage. Then, paramedics transported the driver to a hospital with serious injuries. Also, two children in the Dodge Caravan sustained minor injuries in the crash.
Furthermore, officers arrested the 42-year-old male driver of the GMC Sierra for aggravated assault.
At this time, the circumstances involved in the crash remained unclear. When additional information becomes available, the public will be notified.
