Injuries Sustained in Six-Vehicle Crash in Bremerton
BREMERTON, WA (April 16, 2019) – A total of six vehicles were involved in a multi-vehicle car accident on Highway 303 Tuesday morning.
Washington State Patrol responded to the crash around 11:40 AM, on Highway 303. First responders arrived to the area near Riddell Road soon after.
To begin, the at-fault driver was traveling southbound when he first sideswiped two vehicles. Next, he rear-ended an additional car, pushing it into the intersection. That vehicle was consequently hit by an oncoming car. After that, the at-fault driver struck another vehicle while attempting to turn left.
The at-fault driver sustained serious injuries and was airlifted to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle for further treatment. In addition, two other victims were taken to Harrison Hospital due to the extent of their injuries. However, there has been no update on their current medical condition.
Furthermore, the roadway was closed for a brief time while crews worked to clean the scene. The cause is currently unknown, as the investigation is still ongoing.
