Pierce County, WA (October 17, 2024) On Tuesday morning, a multi-car collision on Military Road East left 3 people hurt and hospitalized.

According to Pierce County deputies, the multi-vehicle crash happened around 9:28 a.m. on Canyon Road East and Military Road East near Frederickson.

Reports say that a semi-truck driver ran a red light, causing a multi-vehicle crash.

Upon arrival, deputies found the intersection fully blocked by a semi-truck and three passenger vehicles.

Authorities determined that the semi-truck was heading south on Canyon Road East when the driver ran a red light, striking two vehicles at the intersection.

The truck then veered into the northbound lanes, hitting another vehicle before coming to rest against a utility pole.

Three people were taken to the hospital, and the semi-truck driver was cited for second-degree negligent driving.
