Lanes Closed after Two-Vehicle Collision near Highway 78
OCEANSIDE, CA (February 4, 2019) – Motorists were hurt in a car crash on northbound 5 Freeway, Monday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place at approximately 5:23 AM, just north of Highway 78. Based on their report, there were two vehicles involved in the incident. The parties were identified as a white sedan and a dark blue sedan. The manner of the accident was not stated in the report.
The paramedics were called for needed medical attention. They confirmed that there were injuries due to impact. Fortunately, the victims’ conditions were said to be non-life-threatening.
All lanes except No. 1 lane were closed while rescue and clearing took place in the area. An investigation is ongoing to determine the cause of the accident to help identify the possible contributing factors. Additional information has yet to be released.
