Fatal Crash on Interstate 5 Claims Motorist Life
Mountlake Terrace, WA (March 13, 2022) On Saturday, a person was killed in a sedan/big rig collision on Interstate 5.
The Washington State Patrol (WSP) says that the fatal collision happened around 6:35 a.m. on the Northbound I-5.
Trooper Jacob Kennett said, “an unknown truck lost a mattress in the roadway which was a major contributing factor in this incident.”
Moreover, Kennett added, “The truck was reported to have pulled over to the right shoulder in the area of the incident.”
Additionally, reports say that a silver sedan collided with the mattress, the vehicle swerved and struck a semi-truck.
Furthermore, officials pronounced the sedan driver was dead on the scene.
Officers are looking for the truck that dropped the mattress. Reports say that the pick-up is an older, dark-blue model with wooden panels.
Lastly, the WSP is investigating the crash.
