Police Actively Seeking Suspect in Escondido Hit-and-Run Collision
Escondido, CA (April 23, 2022) On Thursday evening, a motorist is hospitalized in a rollover crash on Interstate 15.
Authorities say the hit-and-run collision happened at around 11 p.m. just north of Via Rancho Parkway.
The California Highway Patrol (CHP) says an SUV crashed at the backside of a pickup truck, the collision caused the pickup to roll over.
Reports say that the SUV driver got out of their vehicle and fled on foot.
Paramedics took the truck driver to the nearest hospital, the driver sustained minor injuries.
The collision closed multiple lanes of the highway for several hours.
The CHP is investigating the incident and is actively seeking the registered owner of the SUV.
Inspect your vehicle’s headlights and turn signals. Be sure that both front and rear headlamps are working properly and visible enough a couple of yards away.
