Lacey, WA (January 26, 2024) On Tuesday afternoon, a motorist suffered injuries and was hospitalized in the Interstate 5 hit-and-run crash.

According to the Washington State Patrol (WSP), the chain-reaction crash happened at about 1:15 p.m. on I-5 near Marvin Road.

Reports say that a southbound silver SUV or pickup truck changed lanes and struck a Chrysler, the impact of the collision pushed the Chrysler into another pickup truck.

Officials say that the driver lost control crossed the center line and collided with 2 other vehicles from the opposite lane.

Medics say that one of the drivers sustained several facial injuries and lacerations, and the patient was taken to the hospital.

WSP is searching for the suspect driver and vehicle who remains at large.
