Rider Critically Injured in Mountain Center Accident

Mountain Center, CA (October 23, 2021) – On Friday, two motorcycle riders suffered injuries in a Highway 74 crash.

The traffic accident happened minutes before 5 p.m. west of the mountain community

Apparently, the Riverside County Fire Department crews were investigating a non-injury accident wherein a sedan plunged into an embankment.

When at the same time, the motorcycles went down a few miles away from the scene of the first crash.

Immediately, the authorities responded to the motorcycle wreck. They found one rider critically injured while the other sustained minor injuries.

The authorities requested the Mercy Air helicopter to airlift the rider with major injuries, while the other rider refused medical attention.

The perverse actions of a reckless driver can increase the likelihood of traffic collisions. If you are a driver, pay close attention to those around you. Always keep a considerable distance from others just in case harm is near.

What Do We Need To Do To Avoid a Crash?

Road accident rates in California continue to increase, rather than decrease, despite the additional safety features on newer vehicle models.

According to the United States Department of Transportation, there are approximately 300,000 merging accidents every year.

However, as common of an occurrence as they are, many people do not suspect what follows in the event of a traffic crash.

So, it is crucial that everyone remain calm in order to properly handle the immediate aftermath of an automobile collision like the Highway 74 crash.

Also, here are some of the things that we can do to practice defensive driving:

– Always drive at a controllable speed.

– Never assume you know the other driver’s intention.

– Also, be prepared to positively react to other drivers.

– This one, we should never neglect: yield at intersections, even if you have right of way.

– Most importantly, stay focused on the road. Remove all distractions such as mobile phones unstrapped toddlers, etc.
