1 Injured in Desert Hot Springs Motorcycle Accident on Long Canyon Road
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (August 13, 2019) – A motorcyclist sustained injuries after a hit-and-run car struck her on Long Canyon Road on August 9.
The head-on collision happened around 11:00 p.m. on Long Canyon Road, north of Dillon Road.
According to reports, the 48-year-old female rider of a 2013 Kawasaki crashed with a car. The rider is a resident of Desert Hot Springs. Meanwhile, the driver stopped before escaping south on Long Canyon.
Medical responders transported the motorcyclist to Desert Regional Medical Center in Palm Springs. The rider reportedly wore a helmet at the time of the collision.
Meanwhile, detectives revealed that the involved car may have been an early-2000s Dodge sedan with damage on its windshield and front end.
