Sedan Sideswipes Motorcycle near Boyd Avenue
SAN DIEGO, CA (October 1, 2018) – On Sunday evening, a motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash on Genesee Avenue. The victim was only identified as a 51-year-old man. His name and place of residence were not immediately disclosed.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the collision took place in the 3600 block of Genesee Avenue near Boyd Avenue, at approximately 9:25 PM.
The man was riding a Harley Davidson motorcycle eastbound on Boyd when he turned onto southbound Genesee. At that moment, a 25-year-old man driving a Toyota sedan southbound on Genesee sideswiped the victim’s motorcycle.
The impact of the collision ejected the motorcyclist onto the roadway. Emergency medics responded to the scene and transferred the injured him to a local hospital in serious condition. Fortunately, his condition was not believed to be life-threatening.
No further details have been released to the public, as the incident is still under investigation by the authorities.
