Multiple Injuries Sustained by Rider in Crash near Zoo Place
SAN DIEGO, CA (December 14, 2019) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured in a crash in the 2700 block of Florida Drive on Saturday morning.
According to the California Highway Patrol, the incident happened near Zoo Place at approximately 8:48 AM.
Reports from the San Diego Police Department showed the 32-year-old rider came down from a red 2010 Ducati motorcycle. The bike front tire also hit the road afterwards.
The paramedics took the victim to the hospital for treatment of serious injuries. They reported that the victim sustained a ruptured spleen, lacerated kidney and abrasions to the right arm.
Traffic Division officers responded to the scene and will be handling the investigation.
