Motorcyclist Dies in Long Beach Boulevard and Wardlow Road Crash
Long Beach, CA (June 19, 2021) – Saturday afternoon, a male motorcyclist died when he crashed into an SUV in Long Beach Boulevard and Wardlow Road.
The fatal motorcycle crash in Long Beach happened at about 1:40 p.m. on June 19.
Long Beach Police Department said a Toyota RAV4 driven by a 23-year-old Long Beach woman was making a left turn from southbound Long Beach Boulevard to eastbound Wardlow when she was struck by a 2006 Yamaha YZ450F motocross motorcycle northbound on Long Beach Boulevard.
EMS transported the motorcyclist to the hospital where he died from his injuries.
Meanwhile, the RAV4 driver remained at the scene, cooperated with officers, and was then released pending further investigation.
Moreover, police said speed may have been a factor in the crash but DUI and distracted driving are not believed to have contributed.
