Rider Dies after Struck by Hit-and-Run Driver on Church Avenue in Fresno
FRESNO, CA (October 26, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed in a hit-and-run crash late Friday evening in southeast Fresno.
The crash happened around 11:58 p.m. at the intersection of Church Avenue and Golden State Boulevard.
CHP officers said a purple Toyota Tercel collided with a motorcycle, knocking the rider off of his bike. As a result, the rider suffered fatal injuries and died at the scene.
The driver of the Tercel fled the scene on foot before officers arrived.
Police are examining the suspect’s car for evidence and looking for surveillance video to help identify him.
The motorcyclist’s name has not yet been released pending next of kin notification.
