Speeding Rider Dies after Crash with Car on 5 Freeway in San Diego
SAN DIEGO, CA (June 4, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed early Tuesday morning, following a high-speed crash on 5 Freeway.
To begin, the accident happened around 4:47 a.m., on the northbound lanes of the highway. Dispatchers arrived near the Pacific Highway off-ramp shortly after.
According to reports, a motorcycle was traveling at a high rate of speed when it collided with a Toyota sedan for unknown reasons.
The unidentified rider died at the scene due to the impact of the collision. Moreover, the driver of the car remained uninjured.
Furthermore, traffic along Pacific Highway was closed between Sassafras Street and West Washington Street for a brief time, but has since reopened.
