Rider Dies after Crash with Car on Highway 9 in Saratoga
SARATOGA, CA (October 26, 2019) – A motorcyclist was killed following a traffic collision with a car late Saturday afternoon in Saratoga.
The collision happened around 5:29 p.m. on Highway 9, just west of Redwood Gulch Road.
According to the California Highway Patrol, a motorcycle and a black Infiniti sedan collided for unknown reasons. The rider suffered blunt force trauma with injuries to the lower back and left arm as a result of the crash.
Paramedics arrived and pronounced the rider dead at the scene.
One occupant in the sedan sustained facial injuries and was taken to a hospital.
Authorities closed the Highway 9 in both directions between 6:00 p.m. and 8:30 p.m. as they investigated the accident.
No identifying information is being released at this time.
